Definition of Community

To begin, my definition of community basically consists of a group of people who exist and interact among eachother. The members in one's community could be next door neighbors, or they could be involved in some sort of group or club together. But another thing that comes to mind when I hear the word community has to do with community service, as in what the members of a community do to better their surroundings; whether it be cleaning up garbage in a local park, or donating blankets to a homeless shelter; basically any sort of way to simply give.
This topic of community service brings me to my own personal experiences that are related to community. One major thing that comes to mind is my participation in Key Club, which is basically a community service club. If you think about it, Key Club is a community in itself. I would have to say that this particular experience with community was definitely a positive one, because it gives me a chance to make a difference in the world, albeit a small one, but a difference nonetheless.
