Response to "I Just Wanna Be Average"

I must say, that after reading such an extensive amount of essays in one sitting, the one essay that particularly stood out the most was the longest one. I'm not saying that Mike Rose's, I Just Wanna Be Average only left the most significant impact on me because it was long, because it truly had an insightful message, which really stuck with me.
I also really enjoyed the way Rose described the characters in his essay; it made me feel as though I were reading a short story opposed to an essay.
